Common Questions from New Patients
Do you accept my insurance?
We're in-network with Delta Dental Premier and Hawki (CHIP). We also accept most PPO plans as an out-of-network provider and will file on your behalf. If you're uninsured, ask about our in-house membership plan — it's often a better deal than dental insurance.
I haven't been to the dentist in a long time. Will you judge me?
Absolutely not. Dr. Shields and the team meet patients exactly where they are. Our goal is to help you move forward — not dwell on the past. You're in a judgment-free zone.
How long will my first appointment take?
Plan for about 60–90 minutes. This gives us time for a thorough exam, X-rays, cleaning (if scheduled), and a chance to answer all your questions.
Do you see children?
Yes! We welcome patients of all ages. We recommend kids start dental visits by age 1 or when their first tooth appears.
What payment options do you offer?
We accept cash, check, all major credit cards, CareCredit, Cherry financing, and even Bitcoin (with a 15% discount). We also offer an in-house payment plan for larger treatment amounts.
