A modern take on braces
Innovative orthodontic care
Fast. Comfortable. Nearly invisible.
You deserve a smile you can be proud of, and Invisalign can make it happen.
Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth by using a custom-made series of aligners created for you, and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place based on the exact movements your dentist plans out for you. Unlike traditional braces, there are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks until your treatment is complete. You will achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people will not even know that you are straightening your teeth.
The Invisalign Treatment Process
The first step for treatment is to schedule a consultation. Our team of dental professionals will examine your mouth and determine whether or not Invisalign is the right choice for orthodontic correction. Invisalign is suited for older teens and adults who have their permanent teeth, but not for children who have still have baby teeth. If you are a good candidate, your doctor will take photos, x-rays, and impressions or scans of your teeth, then prescribe the tooth movements you need to achieve your ideal smile.
We’ll create a 3D model of your mouth and then a series of clear plastic aligners custom-fitted to your teeth. Each aligner will apply targeted pressure to the teeth selected by your doctor, slowly moving them into alignment.
It is a treatment that requires dedication from patients to achieve the best results. You will need to keep your aligners on for most of the day, but can easily remove the aligners for eating and brushing. Every 2 weeks, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners. Your doctor will check your progress periodically and track your treatment. Usually, patients require about 20-24 sets of aligners to straighten their teeth completely. So the typical treatment time is about a year. This will, of course, vary depending on the patient.
